Surviving a Hurricane
Many of you have asked what happened to Cypress Creek FACE in the flooding of The Centrum. As the resident arts organization, we had our Box Office located in the lobby. Unfortunately, we lost all those items you would think of as being in a box office... computers, ticket printers, ticket stock, envelopes, letterhead, brochures, office furniture, office supplies, etc.
Due to the remediation work that must be done to restore the building, we had to move out and find a new space to rent. We've had costs associated with the move including rent, new office furniture, signage, paint & supplies for the new interior, and moving expenses. We had to move so quickly out of The Centrum that we had to store what items we could save and then move them into the new retail space once we were able to sign a lease.
Like many of you who were flooded, this has been a stressful, difficult time but we have been thankful for so many volunteers who have helped us through this crisis. We were able to find a new home for our offices, move our concerts to new venues, and even help The Centrum Arts League with our annual gala on Friday, September 22. We are so proud to be a part of this wonderful community!
Now that we are settled into our new home, you are welcome to stop by and see us. If you would like to help us with our Harvey expenses, click here:
