In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Cypress Creek FACE has relocated its box office and secured new locations for upcoming concerts.

During the storm, The Centrum—beautiful home to Cypress Creek FACE performances—flooded with nearly 30 inches of water.

“Music is healing to the heart and soul,” said Nanci Decker, Executive Director of Cypress Creek FACE. “We know how important music is to our community, so it’s been our hope to be able to present all of our 2017-18 season, just in different locations.”

New box office location

While the time-consuming process of restoration gets underway, Cypress Creek FACE has secured a temporary office and box office location at 6450 Louetta Road, Suite 200 in Spring, TX, 77379. Box office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The box office phone number, (281) 440-4850, remains the same, and tickets may also be purchased online at www.cypresscreekface.org.

New location for Star-Lit! Concert Series

The Star-Lit! Series concerts for this fall have been moved to the new Klein Cain High School auditorium, located at 10201 Spring Cypress Road in Houston, 77070. Parking may be accessed from Cutten Road south of Spring Cypress Road.

One concert has also had a date change. Just Imagine: The John Lennon Experience starring Tim Piper which was originally scheduled for September 30 has been postponed to Saturday, November 25 at 8 p.m. Other upcoming concerts include Jackie Evancho on Saturday, November 4 at 8 p.m., and John Mueller’s Winter Dance Party on New Year’s Eve, December 31, at 8 p.m. All three concerts will take place at Klein Cain High School.

Ticket-holders should keep their tickets until replacements are issued for the new venue. The Klein Cain Auditorium is slightly larger than The Centrum, with seating all on one level. Cypress Creek FACE hopes to mail replacement tickets by mid-October.

All concerts in the Promenade Series through February have been moved to John Wesley United Methodist Church. The church is located at 5830 Bermuda Dunes Drive in Houston, 77069.

Thank you to the community

A special thank you goes to all those who have offered their support in the days since the hurricane, including a generous donation of $2,500 from the Shining Stars Guild toward recovery efforts for Cypress Creek FACE.

“We are so grateful to the many patrons who have been supportive through this difficult time,” said Nanci Decker. “As our community rebuilds, we hope to be a source of joy and encouragement in the midst of difficult days. So please come, bring your friends, and enjoy some fabulous music together. You’ll be glad you did.”
