A World of Song

Students from Klein, Klein Collins, Klein Oak, and Tomball high schools join to perform the 12th annual “A World of Song,” with conductor, Dr. Alan Raines of Baylor University.

Dr. Alan Raines is the newly appointed Director of Choral Activities at Baylor University. Dr. Raines is a frequent guest conductor and sought after clinician with choruses throughout the United States. Previously, he was the Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Stetson University. Raines is a member of the conducting faculty of La Musica Lirica in Urbania, Italy and is the Artistic Director of the Elysium Chamber Orchestra and Chorus in Atlanta, Georgia. Raines’ professional engagements have taken him throughout most of the major cities in the United States, Canada and abroad with guest appearances at Moscow State University, the London Virtuosi in Wells, U.K. and Musica Angelica of Los Angeles. He is the first American invited to guest conduct the Chonan City Choir and Orchestra in Chonan City, South Korea. His schedule includes appearances in Washington, Michigan, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

Promenade Series Season Tickets ordered before August 23, 2011 are just $70. The season ticket includes all ten (10) concerts. On August 22 and after, the Individual price is $80.

Single ticket prices are: $12 adult, $10 senior, $6 child/student. Group tickets are also available for $8 each for groups of 6 or more.

Single tickets on sale at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2011.
Online sales will begin at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 24, 2011.
