Biography
Once a one man show, now a one man/one dinosaur show, Thaddeus Rex is not your typical singer/songwriter by any stretch of the imagination.
After leaving the Emmy Award-winning PBS Kids show “The Friday Zone” in 2003 to pursue performing full time, Thaddeus Rex started making more than 200 appearances a year in schools and public arenas. He has won multiple awards, including a grand prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, Publisher’s Weekly’s Listen Up Award and a Parents’ Choice Award.
Thaddeus Rex has recorded three albums to date: Martian Television Invasion, We Wanna Rock–Nonfiction & Nonsense From the Heartland, and Shakin’ in Chicago. His debut album, Martian Television Invasion, was hailed by the L.A. Times as a “sincere celebration of reading.” Thaddeus Rex has a way of weaving educational content into his songs so that kids can both learn and enjoy the experience.
Thaddeus Rex’s “unique voice and eclectic songwriting” is sure to entertain. Come join the celebration!
