Celtic Crossroads

8 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2010

The Celtic Crossroads concert is almost sold out. Only single seats remain. We have taken ticket sales for this concert offline. If you are interested in a ticket or would like to be put on the waiting list, please call our Box Office at 281-440-4850.

Hailing from Ireland, the septet group known as Celtic Crossroads dishes out traditional Irish music set with musical sides of celtic folk rock, bluegrass and gypsy-inspired song crafts. In its intimate live shows, instruments like the harp, guitar, flute, whistle, violin, banjo, accordion, bass and drums are combined for a number of Irish dance tunes, while Irish step dancers also take to the stage, from time to time, for some serious foot work.

The show will capture your imagination as it takes you on a voyage of discovery of Irish traditional music, from its roots, through other genres in its musical family, such as Gypsy, Bluegrass, Folk, Classical and Jazz.  Some people are not aware that many of the world’s genres of music were significantly influenced by traditional Irish music. Ireland’s musical influence has spread throughout the world, but this is hardly a surprise given the central role music has always played in Irish life.

The name Celtic Crossroads originates from a time in Ireland when neighboring communities met at the crossroads between towns and villages to socialize – long before the pub tradition began. With a focus on keeping the tradition of Irish music alive, each performer nurtures this bygone concept, but by virtue of their young age and raw talent, they high-kick this tradition into the 21st Century.  The show’s success is rapidly gathering momentum as it leaves a trail of enthralled audiences behind it.

How can I get 2 $50 or $60 tickets to Celtic Crossroads? Thank you – Sarah Short

    Sarah,

Sorry for the late reply. I realize you posted on 8/27. You can purchase tickets on this site or by phone at 281-440-4850. We do not have “senior” ticket prices for our Star-Lit! concerts. The artist fees prevent us from reducing any ticket prices. The difference between $60 and $50 seats is the distance from the stage. We do not have an obstructions in our hall so I can say that all seats are very nice. We are a small, intimate theater with wonderful seating.
If you have any additional questions, please contact our staff in the box office.

    Thank you,

What price tickets are still avaliable for Celtic Crossroads? Your Website states a date of Jan. 23, 2010. The lastest SPA Program, Fall 2009 , had your ad in it stating a date of Jan. 24, 2010. What is the correct date?

    Kerry,

All price tickets are still available – $30, $40, $50 & $60. The date is January 23, 2010. We had a mix-up on the ad that didn’t get corrected before press time.

    Thank you,

The Celtic Crossroads concert has just a few remaining single seats left. Your best bet is to call the Box Office at 281-440-4850 and either buy single seats or be put on the waiting list. I don’t know how long the list is or if any tickets will be returned. Good luck!

    Thank you,
