Just Heaven: Julia K. Laskowski and Patti Rabaza

Julia Kay Laskowski, a Houston celebrity, has performed with every prominent theater in Houston, including the two premier Broadway theaters, Theater Under the Stars and the Alley Theatre.
She sang the title role in Always. . . Patsy Cline for 18 months – the longest-running musical ever in Houston and again in Iowa and at the Texas Repertory Theater in North Houston.
Laskowski is a graduate of California Institute of the Arts, where she began her career as an opera singer. Her operatic experience includes Micaela, Queen of the Night, Zerbinetta, Donna Elvira, Anina and Rosina.
She is also famous for her impeccable comedic talent. Just ask anyone who was lucky enough to catch her performance of Zombina in the musical comedy, “Zombies from the Beyond”. She also played the title role of Miss Lulu in an off-Broadway production in New York.

As a singer, Patricia Rabaza has performed leading roles with Theater Under the Stars, Opera in the Heights,
Opera of the Ozarks, Nacogdoches Repertory Opera, Oklahoma Lyric Theater, Houston Theater LaB, and performed as guest artist with the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra and San Angelo Orchestra. She created the role of Araminty Brown in the world premier musical, Grand National, through the educational outreach program of Houston Grand Opera. Her favorite roles include Cio Cio San, Fiordiligi and Hildy in On the Town.
Patti is also known around Houston as a stellar pianist & music director. Her music director/pianist credits include Always. . . Patsy Cline for 3 runs in Houston totaling about 19 months & a short run in Clinton, Iowa, Cabaret at The Great Caruso, and The Fantasticks at Texas Repertory Theater in North Houston. She also played keyboards for TUTS in their production of Singin in the Rain.

Currently, Julia and Patti are becoming well-known in Houston and the surrounding area for their concert series, JUST HEAVEN and SÉANCE. Patti and Julia sing everything from country to pop to broadway to opera – and now are thrilled to be doing a lot of their own original music! They also have 4 cd’s available.
Promenade Series Season Tickets ordered before August 25, 2008 are just $60 for individuals and $175 for families. The season ticket includes all ten (10) concerts. After August 25 the Individual price is $70 and the Family price is $200.
Single ticket prices are: $12 adult, $10 senior, $6 child/student. Group tickets are also available for $8 each for groups of 10 or more.
